4-11-25   THOUGHTS

Words of COMFORT this morning.  Words of HOPE!  On an ALWAYS basis, “THE LORD HIMSELF” will end this life as we know it.  “And so we will always be with the Lord.”  This HOPE, given by God, is to relieve our grief.  These are words of refreshment to those of us who struggle right now.  We do not intend to DIE FOREVER... we intend to LIVE FOREVER!  God in  Christ Jesus makes the difference!   May these words bring us COMFORT.  

I Thes 4:13-18    But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep  [Message Bible has “ already dead and buried”] ,  so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope.  14  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. 15  For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.  17  Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.  18  Therefore comfort one another with these words.

My Prayer:
Thank You, O God, for life, and love, and grace, and mercy and for Your Spirit within us. You have made us alive in Christ Jesus.  Help us to live awakened, powerful lives dedicated to the eternal perspective that You have taught us.  May we be light and salt, seed planted,  that You may bring the harvest.  Excite us to living Your  purposes.  Help us to invest ourselves so fully that we can come to know truly, the joy of Your salvation.  
In the name of Jesus who saves us,   Amen.
